Beneath the Fame - Robina Njeri (Miss Samburu County)

Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your background?

My name is Robina Njeri,a 21 year old beautiful lady from the great land of Samburu county. I was born and raised in Samburu, am an alumini of Maralal DEB and St.Theresa's girls secondary school Wamba ,am currently a student at the Presbyterian University Of East Africa and am the current Miss Samburu county

How did you get started in your career?

My career started back in 2021, that was my first run was in my modelling journey, I did my first run way and managed to be Miss Congeniality Presbyterian university I never gave up I tried on high fashion that was face of Africa and I also tried on other pageantries and I tried out for my county title and managed to win and became the queen, I became Miss Samburu county 2022/2023

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

It has been amazing, I was able to be judge at Mr. and miss culture KeMU 2023/2024, I had the opportunity to do charity events with other models also I had the opportunity to meet new people

What are some of the challenges you faced along the way, and how did you overcome them?

Challenges are always there 😁.... My very big challenge was tribalism and finances, facing tribalism from every corner by I took it positively and made it a stepping stone and used it to sow high, lack of funds it made me drag behind in my projects and some of my projects failed 😔

Are there any particular projects or roles that have been especially meaningful to you?

I am a young life leader and it's great because of impacting the teens in the society, currently am working on a project to launch it soon ☺️

What is your biggest accomplishment that you're most proud of?

My accomplishment is impact youth and teens in our society

Who or what has been your biggest inspiration?

The desire to have a better community by having a better impacted youth generation

What keeps you motivated in your work?

The passion that have and also the support I have from people around me

How do you handle criticism and setbacks?

By keeping a smile and positive vibe and using the criticism as a stepping stone

How do you balance your personal life with your career?

By having a well-planned schedule for everything

What do you like to do in your free time? I love cooking and trying new recipes , visiting new places , spending time with my friends and lastly teens through young life

Is there a particular hobby or interest that you enjoy outside of your work?

I do calligraphy it's a type of art, Plaiting Hair & Singing

What advice would you give to aspiring individuals who want to pursue a career similar to yours?

Go for what you want be focused don't let words from people around you stop you believe in yourself ❤️

What upcoming projects or ventures are you excited about?

Samburu book, pad and boxer drive....so excited about it

Where do you see yourself in the future, both personally and professionally?

Professionally see myself as great TV/Radio host and also as a great model

Personally I see myself as a lady of impact in the community in my county and also country wide

Best piece of advice you've ever received?

From my parents ... Despite the negative energy or negative vibe being pumped towards you always process it to something positively and never pay bad deeds with bad deeds always pay it with good deed
