Everyone has a price
Every single person has a price it’s only that sometimes we are not able to afford them and this brings inconsistency.
The political stage in Kenya is one big business focused and buying of loyalty. You find that in every electioneering and political moments there’s a wave of shift from one party to another and sometimes back to reset mode.
But something that proves to be lighting every time is the opposition in Kenya.
For a very long time we have known a specific opposition leader in Kenya and this has been constant.
In the beginning there was some strictness in the task but as time moves we have seen changes.
For two consecutive elections we have seen complain on server opening brought against the electoral commission and the government. This season the complaint was pushed into the agenda of high cost of living.
Through the process we saw the opposition leaders holding a talk with the government which was expected to conclude with another handshake.
But the question of the day is. Did the government not meet the price of the opposition?
Because by the end of the day even if truth is bitter then it’s evident that maybe the price wasn’t worth it. To also say the least if the talks was fruitful and the price was reached. Would the cost of living drop or we will still continue with the struggle?
