There has been a wave of deaths recently which can be credited to road accidents.

It’s either by negligence of our drivers or by mechanical mistakes. But this is a topic that we can’t put in the circle of blame game.

We as a society need to do something to settle.

To our drivers let’s kindly observe the traffic rules and regulations. Putting in mind that it’s not for the benefit of the government or authorities but it’s for the benefit of us all.

To our passengers let’s all observe the simple rules given to us.

Do not overcrowd in matatus and remember to fasten our safety belts anytime we are travelling no matter the distance.

And to our motorist let us stop the argument of struggling for the pavements with pedestrians .

If we all play our role then we won’t be crying for innocent deaths each and every week.

According to research “Over three thousand people are killed annually on Kenyan roads. A four-fold increase in road fatalities has been experienced over the last 30 years. More than 75% of road traffic casualties are economically productive young adults. Pedestrians and passengers are the most vulnerable; they account for 80% of the deaths.

We are the solution to our problems.
